I got a job!!!

I GOT A JOB!!!!



You are "looking at" the newest member of the Navy Federal Credit Union.

Starting Monday, I will be working at the Yokosuka Naval Base branch as a cashier/teller and personal banker. It is a rotating position, so I will get experience in both sides of the credit union. It isn't exactly my dream job, but it is a paycheck AND it will give me something to do during the day! Yay! I am still waiting to hear about the Google Tokyo advertising position, but for now I will be working at the Navy Federal Credit Union.

Thank you to all of you for your love and support during my long process of job hunting here in Japan! As you know, it has been a difficult process, and your support has been greatly appreciated! Love you guys!

P.S. Thanks again to Bobby for all your help! I really appreciate your assistance with the Google position! It would be fantastic if I was able to work in advertising while living in Japan!

The girls have moved! So that y'all have a room to yourselves when you come to visit, I moved the girls' cage into the office. It is now the puppy room :)

Labor Day Weekend Fun!

After taking the girls to the labor day festival, Eric and I decided to go play at our bowling alley. It is a six lane alley - that is always empty! It is such a blast having the place to ourselves because we usually make a scene :) I get really excited WHEN I do well - it doesn't happen often. AND it is super cheap! We can play three games, get drinks and rent our shoes for $8.00! Love it!

1. Lizzie is a bit shorter.

Other than that they are practically identical.

My husband the chef!

My hubby is a fabulous chef,
and he loves to surprise me with amazing cuisine!

When I came back from a few weeks in the states he made me this fantastic meal. (I know it might be hard to see in the picture - but it was INCREDIBLE!!!!)



The main course consisted of steak marinated in a red whine and Japanese mushrooms. The steak was accompanied by three types of stuffed potatoes. The first was a feta and spinach twice baked style potato. The second consisted of avocado, seasonings and cheese. He made this one because he knows how much I love avocados. It was surprisingly delicious - I never would have thought of this. The last was made with three types of cheese and grilled chicken! It was all amazing!
