Karaoke is HUGE in Japan! There are parlors everywhere! However, it isn't like Karaoke in the States. Here in Japan, Karaoke is done in private rooms. You pay a fee (per person) to rent a small room for the hour. They have a TV in the room with couches and a table. You can order drinks and food from a phone on the wall in your room. It is a lot of fun!
